So much joy, laughter and fun.
We loved that this wedding had kids having a blast and running around, games of bocce on the lawn throughout the day, and a post wedding wood-fired pizza brunch by the vineyard.
Being surrounded by amazing friends and having so much fun amongst the stunning backdrop of the Di Lusso winery in Mudgee made it almost impossible to want to leave… that’s until we heard that they had a cheese shop on the way back to Sydney.
Thanks so much to Kevin and Katye for having us at your beautiful wedding.
We knew we just had to go.
We saw it on the horizon on the way to visiting our wonderful friends Vanessa, Tim and young Andy.
Capital wind farm. Towering wind turbines sprouting out of this stunning landscape just seemed so surreal and felt exactly like a scene from a movie set in the not too distant future.
We managed to refrain from re-enacting scenes out of Mad Max (briefly) to capture some shots of the extraordinary scenery.
Despite some moments where poor tyre traction met some less than ideal terrain, we’d definitely do it again. Though perhaps with much less caffeine and sugar (and without Pete singing "We don’t need another hero" over and over again).
We love doing photography in Sydney, it’s home to us after all. Sometimes we get invited to do a shoot outside of Sydney and this one turned out to be quite an adventure, in the best way possible.
When Janine and Shaun suggested a shoot at an apple orchard, we knew exactly where to go. On our way out to Bilpin we also stopped at a super secret location to get some shots in some tall trees and some of the most beautiful and atmospheric light we’ve had to date. Janine and Shaun were also incredibly supportive with all our creative ideas and the morning just flew by.
Take us back to Bilpin any day so we can be amongst the tall trees, the beautiful farms and the extraordinarily generous and friendly locals. A special mention goes to Bill at Shield’s Orchard for taking the time to show us around his amazing orchard. Anyone up for a roadtrip and some fresh home made apple pie?
This shoot was featured on Polka Dot Bride.
Well this is a bit frustrating – looks as though we’ve had some technical difficulties recently and the form on our contact page had stopped working for a bit. If you tried to contact us via that form and we haven’t replied, please send an email to hello@andaday.com and we’ll get back to you immediately. Alternatively, you can call Lisa on 0416 288 181.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Pete has now been banned from messing with the website.
edit: ha! just try and stop me!
