Tiffany & Luke

Sydney, NSW

I know; we haven't blogged in ages. What can I say that won't sound like a horrible excuse? Sure, we've been flat out traveling all around the place shooting the weddings of amazing couples, but now I feel incredibly guilty for not sharing any of them with you. So here we are, sharing an amazing little portrait session we did for Tiffany and Luke.

We're shooting their wedding down in Tassie in a few months and they've already earned a place in our hearts. We can't wait.

Minerva & James

Roberts Circa 1876, Hunter Valley

Minverva and James' wedding was one of the most heartfelt, sincere and meaningful weddings we've had the privilege of capturing. We laughed, we cried and we were reminded of both how important every moment is and how much we adore our clients for sharing such an intimate day with us.

This wedding was first shown on the delightful Hello May.

Highlights of 2014

Man, 2014 was one hell of a year. This is going to be a crazy long blog post, so I apologise to your bandwidth in advance.

I know it's becoming a bit trite to say how much we love this job, but we say it so often because it's just so true. What other job exists where you get to be involved in the most exciting day in people's lives?

And we had some absolutely amazing couples in 2014. I can't even tell you how often I completely lost myself to fits of laughter during speeches, or how many times I had to hold back tears ("jeez, is someone cutting onions in here?"). These are people who we'd never met before they enquired about their wedding and they've now had such an impact on our lives.

Then we get to pore over the thousands of images from their wedding day to pull out the best moments. The ones that will mean so much to them in the future that they probably didn't even notice on the day. Maybe when she squeezed his hands as his voice faltered during the vows, or perhaps those few seconds when she rested her head on his shoulder during the first dance.

Just writing about it gives me goosebumps. I can't wait to meet more of you in 2015.
